1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller for this website is Dra. Ileana Carzoglio Algazi, physician specialized in obesity and clinical nutrition, with a practice in Montevideo, Uruguay.
If you have questions about this policy, want to exercise your rights, or have an issue with your data, write to icarzoglio@gmail.com.
2. What data we process and why
This site brings together free tools, the patient portal and medical care itself. Each processes different data:
- Free Metabolic Assessment (calculator): the weight, height, waist and sex you enter to calculate your on-screen result. If you ask to receive the result by email, we process your email address and, optionally, your name to send it to you. The measurements used for the calculation are not kept in our database.
- Free guides and content: your email and name (optional), to send you the material you requested.
- Newsletter: your email, name and phone (optional) and your content preferences, to send you the updates you agreed to receive.
- Patient portal account: your email, password (stored encrypted) and name, plus the technical access logs needed to keep the system secure.
- Intelligent Nutrition Assessment: your questionnaire answers, the calculated indicators (such as BMI and waist-to-height ratio), your signed consent and the resulting report.
- Medical care (pre-consultation, consultations and follow-up): the clinical information you share with me for the purpose of your treatment: patient record, weekly logs, vital signs and goals.
3. Health data
Data about your health is specially protected. Health-related data is processed within the framework of the care relationship, in accordance with applicable regulations, professional secrecy and, where appropriate, with the patient's consent. It is used to assess nutritional status, prepare reports and carry out treatment. I do not use it for advertising purposes nor share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Consent
Before taking the Intelligent Nutrition Assessment you are asked for full informed consent, in which you separately accept the processing of your health data. We store the date and time you accepted it and the version of the text you saw.
In the free tools there is a separate, optional checkbox for receiving commercial communications. Nobody is subscribed to the newsletter without ticking it, and ticking it or not does not condition access to the tool.
You can change your mind at any time: every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can write to me to revoke any consent.
5. How long we keep your data
Each type of data is kept for a defined period:

6. Your rights
You can exercise the following rights at any time by writing to icarzoglio@gmail.com:
- Access your data and request a copy.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data, except data whose retention is necessary due to legal or professional obligations, especially documentation that forms part of the medical record, or where another legitimate reason prevents its deletion.
- Revoke your consent, including consent to health data processing. In that case I will not be able to continue the assessment or treatment, but your recorded data is kept as a medical record.
- Unsubscribe from commercial communications, using the link in any email or by writing to me.
7. Who we work with and where your data is processed
To run this site I use specialized third-party services. Several process data outside Uruguay, which involves international transfers protected by the contracts each provider offers.

8. About artificial intelligence
The draft of your Intelligent Nutrition Assessment report is generated using an artificial intelligence service provided through Lovable. To generate the draft, the questionnaire answers and certain calculated indicators are sent, deliberately excluding the patient's name, email and other direct identifiers.
The current configuration requests that the conversation not be stored for later retrieval.
Information generated by artificial intelligence is used as support for preparing the draft report. AI does not diagnose or decide treatment. Every report is reviewed and approved by the physician before it is made available to the patient.
9. Security
Your data is stored encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by technical rules: each patient can only see their own information, and the professional panel is accessible only to the physician. Every relevant action on an assessment (consent, report, approval, delivery) is logged with date and author, and that log cannot be modified or deleted.
The site uses no analytics cookies and no audience measurement tools (Google Analytics is not active). Fonts are loaded from the site itself, with no external font servers.
10. Cookies
The site uses only the strictly technical cookies needed to keep your portal session open. It installs no advertising or tracking cookies.
When you open Calendly inside its booking window, that platform may set its own cookies, governed by its own policy.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will publish the new version on this same page with its update date. If the change affects health data or consents already given, I will inform you before applying it and, where appropriate, request a new consent.
